I have had the fortune of working in studios, homes, and cultural centers with artisans from many different countries. I have learned along the way that textile expertise runs generations long and carries with it stories, history, and significance that many of us will never fully see or know. As we consider the value of the handmade in this new world we are living in, I wanted to find a way to dig deeper, encourage our own creativity, and open up a very personal approach to learning about crafts traditions and their contribution to our communities.
